We are currently working on the concepts for our next generation of EV transmissions. Using simulation models early in the concept development stage allows us to better determine ratio ranges and number of speeds required to best meet our performance and efficiency targets.
Goals for this new design are,
– Transverse and longitudinal mounting options.
– Increased modularity in the design to help commonise components as well as allow the design to be adaptable to various motor and vehicle options.
– Efficient and smart shifting that can be calibrated based on motor efficiency and vehicle specifications.
– Reduced weight and overall packaging size.
